About Peter Cornell Realtor / Dir. Sports & Entertainment Division

As the top producing agent and Director of the Sports & Entertainment Division at The Oppenheim Group, Peter brings focus, vision and boundless energy to each client and transaction. Reaching production levels achieved by few in the industry, representing noted celebrities and entrepreneurs, he is regularly featured in media such as Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Forbes and the Robb Report.

Peter was born in San Francisco and has continued as the third generation of a prominent real estate family in the Bay Area. Peter played Division I basketball at Loyola Marymount University, graduating with a B.A. degree in Communication Studies in 1998. A professional athlete for over a decade, he played with several NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, overseas in Europe, China and Japan. Later, as an NBA Player Agent he negotiated both basketball and marketing contracts for several prominent NBA players. Always connected to his passion for real estate, early in his basketball career, Peter founded Highlander Ventures, a real estate investment company focused on acquiring properties throughout Los Angeles that could be optimized for leasing and resale.

As a seasoned real estate investor and developer, former professional athlete and NBA Player Agent, Peter's multifaceted approach to marketing, negotiating, and closing is both fresh and effective. An innate networker, Peter casts a net that reaches across the globe, allowing him to access resources and relationships he has developed in the worlds of sports, entertainment, and real estate. In all pursuits, he applies his focused, passionate work ethic, his continual market research, and his listening and facilitating skills — all key components in making moves in a fluid, evolving Los Angeles real estate market.
