Meryl Streep Buys Honnold & Rex Research House in the Hills

Meryl Streep is generally an East Coaster, but the ever-wonderful Real Estalker hears she’s picked up a place in the Hollywood Hills–that place happens to be Architectural Products’s 1954 Research House, which was originally designed by Honnold & Rex and recently majorly remodeled by Xorin Balbes. The house hit the market in October 2012 asking $5.995 million and Streep and sculptor husband Don Gummer (or the trust associated with their known real estate) seem to have gotten a good deal: they paid $4.5 million in early February.
